City Dungeon: Ch 21 - Doherndere

Doherndere sits behind the Banshee dungeon and the only way to Doherndere is through that dungeon. For humans that is, for us it's just a matter of paying road tax. Passing through the dungeon long wide road made of stones between huge stone walls, something strange was happening to Garthos. He was collecting tiny rocks around him as if he was a magnet. Could these stones made from the Garthos mountain, and he could have some weird affinity with his home stones.

After crossing the dungeon, the path to Doherndere was starting to get mountainous, which was expected for the home land of Dwarves. Soon we arrive to a huge gate into the belly of mount Doherndere.

Lots of carriages full of packages stopping at the gate and coming out one by one and empty carriages going in front of us. Soon it was our turn and we were stopped by the guards. I jump off the carriage go towards the gaurd.

"State your business? Who goes there?"

"I am a demon. My name is spike. I am here for business."

He stared at me for a while and some of them inspected the carriage. Satisfied he allowed us in.

As soon as we entered it was some technically advanced place. Huge city full of people and lots of activity. Smoke going up of every houses it seemed. If only I had arial view it would have looked something like this.

We find a cheap lodging place and prepare our selves for a good few days worth rest.

City Dungeon: Ch 20 - A soul doubles my power

After about an hour or so, Gnas suddenly realized something.

"Boss! I think we still being followed."

"Really?"

"I thinks its the same guy as before but he seems to alone this time"

I look at Viredeo and he seemed annoyed.

"Fine, stop the carriage" he sighed and jumped off. As we all stood behind him waiting for the warlock to show up but he just kept hiding.

"Show up you cunt." shouted Gnas. "I can spell your scent from miles away come out before its too late."

"Fine fine I am coming out but just hear me out." He comes out of his invisibility magic and continues.

"I can't go back young... Prince. Your father will just kill me knowing that I have failed. So if you will have me, I want to join your crew"

"No way. uh-uh" Gnas shakes his head "After what just happened, how can we trust you enough to have you around us?"

That's true we can't have him in crew and knowing father what he's saying is also true. I feel for him and I need as many subordinates as I can get but he needs to win our trust first?

"What's your name warlock?"

"I am called Japhet Jordan."

"Japhet, do you have any pact already with father or anybody else?"

"No, I just work as a magician soldier." he lightens up expecting acceptance and continues "Though I don't have any dark pact, I am still a warlock of Infernal Pact and can summon couple of fiends, familiars and goblins as of now."

"Great! I can offer you a dark pact with me. One that I will be in control. Do you agree?" A dark pact like this will bind him to me allowing me to use his powers and in return it will allow him to harness my powers but only with my permissions.

"Yes, I accept, my... lord!"

Suddenly I feel a connection as if I grew a new pair of limbs, eyes and ears. A surge of energy flowing through me. I quickly check my inventory.

[ Magic: 350 + 350 = 700/700 ]

[ Summoning Level: 3 + 3 = 6 ]

[ Souls claimed: 0 + 1 = 1 ]

Wow, dark pact counts to soul claimed. All my powers have doubled.

"I can see you are good at travelling fast and mostly undetected. I have a side mission for you as a chance to earn our trust. What do you think?"

"Yes, I want prove my allegiance to you. What can I do for you?"

"Ya, you are going to head east of Doherndere, survey the land there. Look for human civilizations, resources and dungeons around there as much as you can.. The more detailed survey, the better it is for us because we are going to build our dungeon there based on the info you collect."

"Understood. I will do my best"

City Dungeon: Ch 19 - Saved

With fluid movements and without breaking a sweat Viredeo makes shift work of the bad guys.

I noticed he was putting an effort not to kill them and only knocking them out.

He was even able block magical projectiles and cut through force fields from the warloc. Then he also got him slammed to ground.

"Next time I see you, you will be dead." Viredeo suggests them to run and so they did at least whoever wasn't knocked senseless.

I go over a fainted body to inspect and they were wearing royal badges underneath.

Not the shopkeeper but looks like father or mother had sent them to make short work of me. Damn, this wasn't expected, I really need to get as far as possible from my fathers kingdom.

Once we get the carriage going, Viredeo jumps in.

"Looks like you got some enemies"

"I think they were sent by my father"

"Some family you got."

"Right, but no more. I've cut ties and leaving the nation"

"Where are we going?"

"Now you want to know? Where were you yesterday?" Gnas snarked holding his stomach bandages.

While they glared at each other.

"We going to the dwarves. To find some mason and blacksmith"

"Dwarves are good at that, but what are you building?"

"We ..." including him as well. "... are building a city of our own."

I explained him everything about us, our past and future plans on our way to Dohrendere, land of the Dwarves.
