"Xando, let me do all the talking okay, you just be cool and don't panic." said Zilion, as they both slowly moved towards the barracks. "Sure!" replied Xando. Upon reaching the open barrack gates they were stopped by the guards. "What are you two kids doing here?" asked one of the bigger armored guy in a rough voice, trying to sound scary. Zilion tries to butter their way in with a timid smile while Xando was already looking away, seeing no hopes of getting in.
"Mister, we are here to join the barracks, to become cool and .. scary warrior just like you. Let us in won't ya?" Zilion requested.
"Hahaha!" the guard laughed still maintaining his tough voice and then proclaimed, "This is no place for kids, this ain't no playground. Run away before I kick ya butts."
Seeing no hopes in talking his way in, Zilion reaches in deep into his pockets and digs out a copper coin. "Mister, I will give you this copper coin if you let us in." Zilion tried to bribe the guard with little money he had.
"I will take five copper coins to let you guys in", said the guard in more friendlier voice in hopes of getting more out of them. "I will even quicken up your registration myself."
Zilion looks towards Xando and gives a begging eye. Xando knew immediately what he was hoping to get and he reaches into his pockets and produces another copper coin which he hands to Zilion.
"Mister, this is all we have" Zilion pleads one last time.
"Fine, Come along." As if his day had suddenly brightened the guard took them inside the barracks.
